The Grammys used me for ratings. And they were up 18 percent!

I think it's the first idea I ever got about doing something on my own, because it was the first time I have ever really felt the confidence to do it.

Even as a kid I would find the one person whose attention I didn't have and I would zone in on that person. It became a challenge.

As far as the press is concerned, they're going to say what they want to say. Probably about 10-15 percent of the time It's accurate.

I have OCD mixed with ADD, you try living with that. Its complicated.

I'm a very melody-driven writer and I have a rule that I don't write anything down because if I can't remember the melody than it wasn't worth remembering. So it's my way to test myself in the studio. When I was a kid I could sing pretty well so melody always made a lot of sense to me.

There's nothing wrong with shooting for the stars.
