My dad was an actor, and my older sister is an actress, and so I very much remember thinking, "Well, of course I'll do that as well." But I never imagined myself as an actor who would be in films. I always only thought of myself being in a play or a musical and maybe the odd episode of [U.K. '80s TV drama] Casualty. My backup plan was to do something with children, to start a nursery school or work with underprivileged kids. And I still dream of maybe doing that in some way. I've always got children in my house, always.
Kate WinsletI'll go to Tracie Martyn about a week before and get the Resculpting Facial. It makes you look brighter, healthier... like you got some extra rest. I'm 33 now and need to treat my skin, otherwise it doesn't look fresh.
Kate WinsletI wanted to play incredibly challenging, multifaceted characters. Because we are all a puzzle.
Kate WinsletI don't have parts of my body that I hate or would like to trade for somebody else's or wish I could surgically adjust into some fantasy version of what they are.
Kate WinsletI'm always inspired by actresses who are older than me. Because I know that person has lived so much more life than I have. There's a whole other toolbox.
