I like to think that I'm a really strong, tough person, but I'm not. I'm a very, very needy person. I'm very insecure. I'm very impressionable. But, there is a side of me that is very put-together, very strong, very capable and very opinionated. It's the two sides of myself.

You're already using your imagination because you're watching fiction and then you're trying to believe that this girl who weighs 100 lbs, soaking wet, could actually beat up a guy. Which works in a lot of situations but in a lot of situations you look at it and you're like, "Come on. Could you please get someone in there who actually has biceps and not just because they don't eat?"

My mom always said, 'Marry someone smarter than yourself, Katee, because No. 1, you're not that smart. And No. 2, then you'll have smart babies.'

The first movie my dad ever showed me was Predator - I was five. And I think the second one was Jaws. I've has this understanding of fiction for a very, very long time but I've also had this thing where I've idolized the male action heroes because that's what I watched with my dad.

Im a bit insane when it comes to doing my own stunts and getting down and dirty. Its fun, you know? Its things I wouldnt normally do in my real life, so when I go to work and get to beat people up and shoot guns and get waterboarded, those are things I find completely interesting.

I was always inspired by Sigourney [Weaver]. She's been able to have such beautiful diversity in her career and that's a really impressive thing.

I'm kind of used to being around guys on set, and I grew up with a brother who treated me like I was a boy.
