Real life, raising kids and trying to raise them to be good people takes a lot of work. It's all about (appearing) effortless, yet there's so much effort. You do it the best you can.

~We were on a family trip to Death Valley, and there were moments when my husband and I wanted to just leave the kids there - all the whining! You think that no other kid can do it as much as yours. When they're with friends, they're great; when they're in the car with just the family, it's maddening at times. But you adore them anyway.~

I love that time when all you want to do is cocoon with your baby in your own little world, when you carry them around all the time in a little pouch or sling.

I do prenatal yoga and walk a lot.

I had a ton of animals; I had a goat growing up, a bunch of rabbits, a vegetable garden.

The Practice I was on for seven years and it was a law show, so I really - a lot of objections and things like that, lots of long, long monologues that David Kelly used to write me, which were great. I was really lucky to have my first show go that long.
