Do Americans want the government to micromanage every aspect of our lives? President Ronald Reagan certainly didn't.

I was trying to be appreciative for the education I had, for the sacrifices my parents made. I was very interested in perfect attendance, OK, and straight A's and, you know, dean's list, because those I think were worthwhile, you know, endeavors. And it was important to spend my time in that way and become well-rounded.

Is [Obama] the worst president ever? He's certainly the most destructive president we've had in terms of tearing apart this country and all of the freedoms that we have fought for.

I would love John McCain as president.

Is it more important to make sure that you have another Clinton or a woman in the White House than it is to have somebody who is a morally sound character and judgment?

I'll tell you what, [Hillary Clinton] is not making America safer by her actions and because as it relates to Benghazi, as it relates the e-mail scandal, as to the number of lies and obfuscation that she has engaged in throughout the course of this investigation and lack of transparency. And specifically, she's making America weaker by telegraphing and telling our enemies that we won't even put troops or boots over there. You don't know what's going to happen down the road

What I do see is the right from the beginning that [Donald] Trump had an interest and was very persuasive in terms of talking about the veterans and needing to make changes there.
