I should have died when I was sixteen, when I planned to commit suicide. And I was an atheist until then. I was an atheist, and what the heck, if life sucks what do you have to live for? If you're an atheist, it's just about living, you know? So at the time, I didn't want to wake up anymore and then seriously, God chased me down and proved that he was real and that he loved me.
Lacey MosleyThere are so many stupid things that steal that purpose from us. The stupid things that you believe a lie that we โre not as important as we really are. That our life isnโt as important as it really is. Itโs important to the people that you love, itโs important to the people that you will love in the future, itโs important to the world around you and itโs so important that you fulfill the purpose that only you can fulfill the way that you can fulfill that.
Lacey MosleyWhen we talk about sin, we need to understand what sin is. Sin is not God says 'you can't do this' because He wants to take something away from you. He says: "If you do this, it will be death. If you do this, it will be life." And then He says: "Please, choose life, so that you can live. I've made you, I know how you work. I've made this whole Earth, I know how it works. Please, choose life.
Lacey MosleyWe have messed-up lives, but weโre good people and we have grace. And even though we donโt have to do good for God to love us, I want to do good for Him.
Lacey MosleyI'm So Sick is about how the world can sometimes be a sick and messed up place and how that influences us and tells us how we should live or who we should be. People do things just 'cause everyone else does and then they wonder why they feel empty all the time. Someone who has a firm stance in what they know to be true will empower empty followers to discover who they are as individuals with purposes and this creates leaders with voices of their own.
Lacey MosleyEven if your body isn't healthy, your soul overcomes that, it doesn't even care, it worships anyway, its joyful anyway. That's what God wants to give you in your life.
Lacey MosleyOur music is honest. We are who we are... messed up, dysfunctional sinners that have been loved in spite of our hate. We don't deny that we live in a evil world and that we have been evil people and we have evil tendencies... but we also have touched righteousness through our faith in Christ.. and we have received salvation, hope, and love... So our songs always acknowledge this truth and in turn we hope they bring faith, hope and love into the midst of the selfish, fearful hatred that makes up so much of the world we live in.
