My own words are not the medicine, but a prescription; not the destination, but a map to help you reach it. When you get there, quiet your mind and close your mouth. Don't analyze the Tao. Strive instead to live it: silently, undividedly, with your whole harmonious being.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.
Heaven's Way gives no favors. It always remains with good people.
The farther you go, the less you know.
Who can wait quietly until the mud settles? Who can remain still until the moment of action?
When merit has been achieved, do not take it to yourself; for if you do not take it to yourself, it shall never be taken from you.
