The Great Tao flows everywhere, to the left and to the right, all things depend on it to exist, and it does not abandon them. To its accomplishments it lays no claims. It loves and nourished all things, but does not lord it over them.
To retreat after a work well done is Heaven's Way.
The reason for great distress is the body. Without it, what distress could there be?
If lightning is the anger of the gods, then the gods are concerned mostly about trees.
Meandering leads to perfection.
Man is ruled by Earth. Earth is ruled by Heaven. Heaven is ruled by the Way. The Way is ruled by itself.
