The Tao is always at ease. It overcomes without competing, answers without speaking a word, arrives without being summoned, accomplishes without a plan. Its net covers the whole universe. And though its meshes are wide, it doesn't let a thing slip through.

He who knows he has enough is rich.

To see things in the seed, that is genius.

The Way is empty, yet inexhaustible, like an abyss!

Those who know it do not speak about it. Those who speak about it do not know it.

He who acts, spoils; he who grasps, lets slip.

The small is easy to scatter.
