The sage never strives for the great, and thereby the great is achieved.

True words are not pleasing. Pleasing words are not true.

Wear down to be renewed.

Geese are white, crows are black. No argument will change this.

I do not act, and people become reformed by themselves.

Love the whole world as if it were your self; then you will truly care for all things.

The Way of the Sage is to act but not to compete.
