The Tao is great. The universe is great. Earth is great. Man is great. These are the four great powers. Man follows the earth. Earth follows the universe. The universe follows the Tao. The Tao follows only itself.

The sage attends to the belly, and not to what he sees.

Dignified, like a guest.

Life is going forth; death is returning home.

Let people return to making knots on ropes, instead of writing.

Water is the softest thing, yet it can penetrate mountains and earth. This shows clearly the principle of softness overcoming hardness.

To have enough of enough is always enough.
