Develop the strength of a man, but live as gently as a woman

The sage wears coarse clothes, concealing jade.

The one who does not honor the teacher and the one who does not honor the task, although ever so knowledgeable, they are confused.

Anticipate the difficult by managing the easy.

The Great Tao flows everywhere, to the left and to the right, all things depend on it to exist, and it does not abandon them. To its accomplishments it lays no claims. It loves and nourished all things, but does not lord it over them.

As long as we have hope, we have direction, the energy to move, and the map to move by. We have a hundred alternatives, a thousand paths and an infinity of dreams. Hopeful, we are halfway to where we want to go; hopeless, we are lost forever.

Knowing that you do not know is the best. Not knowing that you do not know is an illness.
