As a mother, anyone who has a teenager can attest to being really excited when they have something positive to be putting their energy into. They have so much energy, and it can go in the wrong direction.

I think it's really hard to understand the depths and the power of the love that someone has for their children unless you really have children.

'Caroline In The City' was such an interesting thing, because I'd never been on the set of a sitcom or even auditioned for a sitcom when they gave me that part.

My kids can't watch ('Howard the Duck'). By the time I get in bed with the duck, they are, like, 'Turn it off, mom. You in bed with a duck is just pretty much a deal breaker.'

If I don't have to act, I'd rather not. I'd rather not act cold. I'd rather actually be cold. That's my weird way of acting. If the door is supposed to be locked, I'd rather have it locked. But of course, most of the time, we have to act, and that's okay, too.

I love really crappy carnivals, where you think the ride is going to break. There's something so seedy about them.

Very good in the Back to the Future movies, but was born to play Caroline in the City.
