I've always been a leader. I've always kind of been the tallest person on the team when I was younger but always kind of the smartest. I was ahead of my time. I wasn't always the oldest, I kind of was the youngest on the team, but, I kind of knew what to do at times.

I've always been skeptical of people who say they lose themselves in a part. Someone once came up to Spencer Tracy and asked, "Aren't you tired of always playing Tracy?" Tracy replied, "What am I supposed to do, play Bogart?" You have to develop a style that suits you and pursue it, not just develop a bag of tricks.

My childhood was never great. We moved from place to place a lot. There were times when we had no definite place to stay. So, a basic level of security was not always there. Therefore, when you finally make it out, and you become who I am, you're humbled by the memories of those situations.

Commitment is a big part of what I am and what I believe. How committed are you to winning? How committed are you to being a good friend?

A team can't work when a guy puts himself in front of a team. I have yet to be on a team like that.

I am just happy to be part of the Nike family.

I don't need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don't excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life.
