The weirdest moments for me are in Los Angeles when I go to a mall that I've shopped at since I was 12, and now there's like, massive pictures of our faces everywhere, at my local coffee shops now there's these billboards of people wearing the T-shirts and stuff. It's very strange, but it's really exciting.

My mom brought me up on old Hollywood. I had been living in Los Angeles. Respecting old movies and growing up with people that were icons that I got to speak to.

I think I've been brought up very well by both my parents. I am very cautious and I think I'm now fit for the world I'm in. They're very much behind my modelling and very supportive.

Celia [Brady] is a young woman who, you know, she's still got that fresh young vibe about her but at the same time she's quite wise beyond her years and very mature and she has that womanly, sexy quality, but at the same time she's very youthful in her clothes. She has that interesting mix between the two. I really love that balance about fashion.

In the '30s, every day was an event. And, as much as I love that idea, I think nowadays it's nice to have the differentiation of when you dress up and when you don't.

I'm a huge fan of the series of books by Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments. I'm a fan myself, so to be cast as the lead heroine is completely incredible.

I do believe in listening to your mind as well that that you need to be smart about certain things, to protect yourself. You need a healthy mix of both really, but it's important not to think so much that you're not able to follow your heart.
