No time in history has the Church of Jesus Christ gone down!

Hearing God is not all that difficult. If we know the Lord, we have already heard His voice - after all it was the inner leading that brought us to Him in the first place. But we can hear His voice and still miss His best if we don't keep on listening. After the what of guidance comes the when and how.

How do you know if you are living to far above (or below) those among whom you are ministering? Ask yourself this question: Is this (car, house, lifestyle) helping me or hindering me in winning and discipling people for Jesus?

Sometimes God does something dramatic to get our attention. That's what happened to me in 1975. My family and I were enjoying the peace and quiet of a borrowed cabin in the Colorado Rockies. I was stretched out on a lounge chair in the midday warmth, praying and thinking. I was considering how we Christians - not just the mission I was part of, but all of us - could turn the world around for Jesus.

If you see someone taking responsibility, give that person authority. If you see someone looking for authority, watch out!
