I am making sure, as the governor of a territory, that our kids speak fluent English. But having said that, I will tell my wife I love her in Spanish, and I will pray in Spanish, and no one from Washington should come down here and tell us how to go about it.

Get government out of our way, and let freedom and the spirit of the American people shine through.

In doing what I'm doing, you have to be sensitive to the fact that you're not dealing with numbers, you're dealing with people. And I will continue to be sensitive to that.

I resent Washington telling states, or the residents of those states, what to do and what to think.

I am impressed by the progress the RNC has made in the last year to engage Latino communities across the country. I look forward to continue working alongside Chairman Priebus and Co-Chair Day to ensure that the party's year-round engagement effort continues to grow and reach new Latino neighborhoods.

Republicans cannot continue to oppose every Hispanic issue.
