The little jihad is over, and now we have the bigger jihad - the bigger battle is achieving security and economic growth

We feel sorrow and pain over the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd. We have known this man for a long time... he showed support and commitment to the Palestinian revolution and to Fatah since the 1960s.

We cannot build foundations of a state without rule of law.

Our efforts are not aimed at isolating Israel or de-legitimizing it; rather we want to gain legitimacy for the cause of the people of Palestine. We only aim to de-legitimize the settlement activities and the occupation and apartheid and the logic of ruthless force, and we believe that all the countries of the world stand with us in this regard.

We would continue our commitments, president and cabinet, to the manner of negotiations as a strategic and political reality, through which we would pick up the fruits of our struggle and our people's sacrifice.

Give me until the end of the year and I will be able to control the chaos in Gaza, ... Now that the Israeli pullout is completed, we will be able to better deal with the problem.
