I've always fought for my country, in my own way, showing that Filipinos are a strong people and can do anything that they put their minds to.

The biggest fight in my life is not in boxing. The biggest fight in my life is how to end poverty in my country.

We pray everyday. We read the bible everyday, so everybody's happy.

Even in my prime, I need God in my life because without God, we're nothing.

I always ask myself, what do I need to prove? I won the fight.

I'm always having fun in training and in boxing. I think it's because boxing is my passion.

I still think about the time when I was fighting for my first real big fight against [Marco Antonio] Barrera back in 2002. I know he can come in thinking that he has nothing to lose, and that's why I have to be aware of that.Always be prepared.
