As I give thought to the matter, I find four causes for the apparent misery of old age; first, it withdraws us from active accomplishments; second, it renders the body less powerful; third, it deprives us of almost all forms of enjoyment; fourth, it stands not far from death.

The absolute good is not a matter of opinion but of nature.

So you see, old age is really not so bad. May you come to know the condition!

Little by little old age renders the body less powerful.

Nothing is so unbelievable that oratory cannot make it acceptable.

Inability to tell good from evil is the greatest worry of man's life.
