The real case against socialism is not its economic inefficiency, though on all sides there is evidence of that. Much more fundamental is its basic immorality.

Their pitiless ideology only survives because it is maintained by force. But the day comes when the anger and frustration of the people is so great that force cannot contain it. Then the edifice cracks: the mortar crumbles.

I shan't be pulling the levers there but I shall be a very good back-seat driver.

And what a prize we have to fight for: no less than the chance to banish from our land the dark divisive clouds of Marxist socialism.
