Think of one person who you are tempted for any reason to withhold love from, and pray for their happiness. In that moment your pain will stop.

All things show up in the world according to the purposes we ascribe to them.

What is happening in politics today is a similar process to what happened in the medical world a few decades ago: realizing that there's more to healing than just addressing symptoms. Primary paradigm when it comes to dealing with political and social disease is allopathic: Pass a law, lock someone up, engage in warfare. And the state of the world today makes it clear that such allopathic measures have not exactly brought peace to all.

The only way the past can drag you back is if you choose to bring it with you into the present.

Sex is not the ultimate high, but the ultimate high hangs out around sex. The ultimate high is the dance with another person, played so deep down and with such abandon that glee returns to grown-ups.

The way of the miracle-worker is to see all human behavior as one two things: either love, or a call for love.

I'm not a doom-and-gloom person. But I think there is a difference between transcendence and denial, and much of the Western world is in major denial today.
