Strangely enough a lot of my ideals are christian in a sense but I don't like the way that religion is portrayed in America but, I think, the album "Antichrist Superstar" really expresses, when you look at the lyrics it expresses, how I feel. I mean it's based in individuality and, strength and believe in yourself, believe in, you're your own god.
Marilyn MansonI did have a Huggy Beardoll. One of his legs fell off. That empty leg became a place where, when we were doing a lot of drugs on tour at one point, we would store the drugs in his empty leg. That's where the term 'dancing with the one-legged man' on Smells Like Children came from, because whenever anyone was doing drugs we called it the 'dance of the one-legged man.' That became a ritualistic thing that was funny for awhile.
Marilyn MansonI believe a lot about psychology, or I'd like to learn about it - I'm someone who likes to learn about everything.
Marilyn MansonMy desire is to be pure again and not dirtied by the world. But it's my duty to be as ugly and as filthy as I am, so the audience can experience what I have.
Marilyn MansonIn music, you feel a connection to the voice and think about the person behind it. In art that's secondary.
