I've started to think that maybe I wouldn't mind passing my demented genius on to some small thing who can set fire and breathe profanity.

I always felt, rather than play by the mainstream standards, we've always done what we do and the mainstream has finally decided to, like that but, we've only gotten more extreme so, the band hasn't got more commercial, it's just that more people understand where we're coming from so more people are in to it.

I think people have always misinterpreted my self-destructive nature as nihilistic, because if you don't care about the world, you can't create art. I am misanthropic and self-loathing, but never nihilistic. And I think I act far worse off-stage than onstage.

I care about the people I know and love the most, but I also care about what the people I don't know think in the sense that I want them to think and understand me in a certain way.
