Whoever wishes to be a Christian, let him pluck out the eyes of his reason.

O, this faith is a living, busy, active, powerful thing! It is impossible that it should not be ceaselessly doing that which is good. War for the sake of war is sin, but war for the sake of defense is duty.

This letter [to the Romans] is truly the most important piece in the New Testament. It is purest Gospel.
