Growing up in Boston, I was always Matt, Son of Former New England Patriot Don. And then when my brother Tim was a senior in high school, I became Matt, Brother of Tim.

Politics can be very mean and dirty. The things politicians say about each other, and what activists say, I had a brief glimpse of that for a couple of days. If I ever had any questions about whether I wanted to run for office, I now know the answer - I don't.

Reality is, you have to work harder the older you get.

The Seahawks have only been around since 1976, so our fan base is relatively young. You talk about the Patriots, or the Celtics or, obviously, Red Sox and Bruins. Your grandfather's father was a fan of that team. People have lived there their whole lives.

When you get frustrated you try to do too much, you try to make stuff up that's not there, and you play outside yourself.

I like to use my Larry Bird analogy, because I'm from Boston. It must have been frustrating playing behind Larry Bird. Because no matter what happens, good or bad, he's the guy. And you've got no chance of getting in. That's just the way it is. It's tough to play behind a future Hall of Famer.
