Oh, I adored Mickey Mouse when I was a child. He was the emblem of happiness and funniness. You went to the movies then, you saw two movies and a short. When Mickey Mouse came on the screen and there was his big head, my sister said she had to hold onto me. I went berserk.

The magic of childhood is the strangeness of childhood — the uniqueness that makes us see things that other people don't see.

Why is my needle stuck in childhood? I don't know why. I guess it's because that's where my heart is.

If I have an unusual gift, it's not that I draw particularly better than other people - I've never fooled myself about that.
