Trust God's love. His perfect love. Don't fear He will discover your past. He already has. Don't fear disappointing Him in the future. He can show you the chapter in which you will. With perfect knowledge of the past and perfect vision of the future, He loves you perfectly in spite of both.

I never told anybody I wanted to write, I kind of fell into it backwards.

I know what I'll be preaching in the spring, what I'll be preaching in the summer, and what I'll be preaching next fall.

A story does that: it will reach out and hook somebody and hold them for just a few moments while you unpack this story in their presence.

Hope is not a granted wish or a favor performed; no it is far greater than that. It is a zany, unpredictable dependence on a God who loves to surprise us out of our socks.

Don't measure the size of the mountain; talk to the One who can move it.

The state of your heart dictates whether you harbor a grudge or give grace, seek self-pity or seek Christ, drink human misery or taste God's mercy.
