If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace.

God wants you to know that he gets you.

Unmet expectations are tough when it's your wife or your husband, but it's really tough when it's God. And yet, it can be a time of growth and a time of faith, a time of understanding who God is.

Blessed are those who know what on earth they are here on earth to do and set themselves about the business of doing it.

Michael Jordan once said that the most peaceful moments of his life were on a basketball court, because that's the only place he knew exactly what to do. And to me the most peaceful moments in my ministry are in the pulpit because that's when I really know what I'm going to do.

Jesus isn't a God who stayed on the mountaintop - he's a Savior who came down and lived and worked with the people.

I've caught myself a time or two adding or embellishing. I don't think that pleases the Lord. I don't think He needs my dishonesty to convey His gospel.
