First, God does not send people to hell. He simply honors their choice. Hell is the ultimate expression of God's high regard for the dignity of man. He has never forced us to choose Him, even when that means we would choose Hell.

Someday I want to go back and maybe write another book on those seven sayings. I just think they are kind of like a table of contents to the Christian hope. They invite us to go into all the aspects of the heart of Jesus. Everything about them from the drama, the setting, the passion around them - I think the seven sayings of the cross are powerful.

No one can pray and worry at the same time. When we worry, we aren't praying. When we pray, we aren't worrying.

Our belief in God is not blind faith. Belief is having a firm conviction something is true, not hoping it's true.

Hiding out with the enemy brings only temporary relief.

Listen carefully to the feedback your readers give you. Dont write unless people want you to write, a lot of people write just because they want to write.

In the pulpit, I really feel like I'm in my sweet spot, I'm in my stride.
