Designing the prints was very much like writing a story with characters, [inspired by] some of my my favorite icons of the time: Eva Perón and Josephine Baker.

The music should highlight nuances within a collection. I always discard my initial music selection, but it's important to get those more obvious ideas on the table, that way you can move on to something more abstract, yet still relevant.

It's too hot for me to bother with wearing my hair down in the summer. I'd rather pin it up in braids, or throw it in a top knot so I don't have to think about it the rest of the day.
