Everything that I love is behind those gates. We have elephants, and giraffes, and crocodiles, and every kind of tigers and lions. And - and we have bus loads of kids, who don't get to see those things. They come up sick children, and enjoy it.

There were times when I had great times with my brothers, pillow fights and things, but I used to always cry from loneliness.

Unconditional love is all you have. You can't overdose on love, you never can. It's a beautiful thing.

Hope is such a beautiful word, but it often seems very fragile. Life is still being needlessly hurt and destroyed.

The teacher always used me as an example to the class of good English and good storytelling because we all had to write the same stories. But she used to make me go out front - which I hated - and read my story to the class and I would get huge applause. Not because of who I was but because they truly enjoyed the stories I wrote.

When you have a special gift you don’t realize it because you think everyone else has the same gift.

I always had this yearning to give and help and make people feel better.
