Focus like a laser, not a flashlight

I knew where I wanted to go, what kind of player I wanted to become and I focused on getting there.

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

When I step onto the court, I don't have to think about anything. If I have a problem off the court, I find that after I play, my mind is clearer and I can come up with a better solution. It's like therapy. It relaxes me and allows me to solve problems.

When I was young, I had to learn the fundamentals of basketball. You can have all the physical ability in the world, but you still have to know the fundamentals.

Sometimes, things may not go your way, but the effort should be there every single night.

Each time I step on the basketball court, I never know what will happen. I live for the moment. I play for the moment.
