A Republican in my state of Arkansas feels about as out of place as Michael Vick at the West Minister dog show.

I wish we would all remember that being American is not just about the freedom we have; it is about those who gave it to us.

What they want to talk about are ideas that lift America up and make us better. It's what I call 'Vertical Politics'.
