Congress needs to step up. Congress needs to do their job, and Congress needs to do their job now.

We have got to do a better job recognizing and correcting the errors in the system that do reflect an institutional bias in criminal justice, but what Donald Trump and I are saying is let's not have the reflex of assuming the worst of men and women in law enforcement.

I - do I believe in evolution? I embrace the view that God created the heavens and the earth, the seas and all that's in them.

I have strongly supported the right to keep and bear arms. I truly believe that firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens makes our families and our communities more safe, not less safe.

We're different men [with Donald Trump], different life experiences. But I've always been struck by our common heritage. His grandfather immigrated to this country just like my grandfather. His dad was a self-made businessman, who built up a business with his two hands. And my dad followed his dreams to Columbus, Indiana, helped build a small business in that town.

I think that there's only one person that defines the role of vice president of the United States. And, you know, we come in to [Donald Trump's] administration with a servant's heart, really prepared to serve and to support the president's agenda and his objectives in every way that he believes is appropriate.

President Trump's made it clear that his administration is going to put the safety and security of the American people first.
