I have four shelves covered with journals that I've written. Dad and I are writing songs together. I've probably written 100 songs.

That's what you're supposed to do; you are 20, you are supposed to be a mess because you haven't figured it out yet, and 10 years from now I am supposed to have it all together.

There are tough times and mountains to climb, but you've got to go for it.

You know, I've made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house, and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else.
