This is something which I think this country needs... I want universal coverage! I want everyone in Massachusetts and in this country to have insurance. I support universal health care.

I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No Mr. President, America has freed other nations from dictators.

I think the global warming debate is now pretty much over and people recognize the need associated with providing sources which do not generate the heat that is currently provided by fossil fuels. I concur that climate change is beginning to [have an] effect on our natural resources and that now is the time to take action.

We can be deeply thankful that we live in a land where reason and religion are friends and allies in the cause of liberty, joined against the evils and dangers of the day. And you can be certain of this: Any believer in religious freedom, any person who has knelt in prayer to the Almighty, has a friend and ally in me. And so it is for hundreds of millions of our countrymen: we do not insist on a single strain of religion - rather, we welcome our nation's symphony of faith.

I would explain to my children very simply that the defense of liberty is a cause that exacts a very high price in the history of humankind.

We reserve our deepest respect and admiration for those who volunteer for service and give their lives to help keep our nation secure.

Neil Armstrong today takes his place in the hall of heroes. The moon will miss its first son of earth.
