She lived almost fifty years of her life completely dedicated to the care of the poor and the marginalized. Astonishingly, for those nearly fifty years she identified completely with the poor she served by her own experience of being seemingly unwanted and unloved by God. In a mystical way โ through this painful interior "darkness" โ she tasted their greatest poverty of being "unwanted, unloved, and uncared for."
Mother TeresaYou should never lose heart. God is merciful and kind- he has endowed you with the best gift- smile, which can make millions happy.
Mother TeresaI am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather he will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did?'
Mother TeresaEach time anyone comes in contact with us, they must become different and better people because of having met us. We must radiate God's love.
Mother TeresaI want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?
Mother TeresaMy prayer for you is that you may grow in the likeness of Christ, being real carriers of God's love and that you really bring his presence, first, into your own family, then, to the next door neighbor, the street you we live in, the town we live in, the country we live, then only, in the whole world, that living example of God's presence.
