Students will want to address the issues that they have a passion for, but I think that the challenge to this generation is the challenge of the climate crisis. Young people bring more enthusiasm, knowledge and sense of urgency on that issue. This is as planet they will inherit, they have a responsibility for it as well, and part of that responsibility is to urge people in power to make the right decisions about how we go forward.

The sequestration is a bad idea, all around. It is something that is out of the question. If you have spending cuts, education of our children, other investments, on the National Institutes of Health, where you are hindering growth, you're no going to reduce the deficit.

[Donald Trump] has nothing to show for it but fear in every way. To people who are sick, fear, to people who are immigrants, fear, to people who are concerned about the greed on Wall Street taking us back to where we were.

The Democrats have been there for working people in our country. That's who we are, trickle-down vs. middle-class economics. That's the major difference between the parties.

If somebody's hacking you, you don't want them to know that you know. You want to find out what they're doing, how they're doing it, and then you'll let them know you know.

Democrats believe we must create jobs, not protect the special interests; build the economy from the middle out, not the top down.

President Obama came up with tremendous ideas, but he was blocked by the Republicans.
