What is key for winning the election is to be able to put forth a vision for our future and how this election affects people's lives.

Be yourself. Hillary Clinton, you have a great vision for our country. You know the policy, you have good judgment that springs from that. You're a strategic thinker, and you have a connection with the American people that springs from a lifetime of service and leadership to them, to America's working families. So, just go talk about that. Forget the script, forget everything else. Just be Hillary Clinton. Be yourself.

Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.

I would never think of crying about any loss of an office, because that's always a possibility, and if you're professional, then you deal with it professionally.

When I was growing up in the 50s it wasn't quite the same. Fathers were more protective and now they see all of the possibilities for their daughters.

I'm always touched when I go to events and stuff, to meet fathers who come up to me and thank me and say, "because of you my young daughter knows that she can do anything she sets out to do." And the way young girls are raised now, I don't think there's any doubt that they know they can do anything. And if what goes by the by is that they don't feel they have to be in solidarity with all other women, that's O.K. as long as they know that that strength has been there in the past and can be there in the future for them.

I believe that women are rising to the occasion to tackle many challenges. Whether it's issues that relate to prosperity, the defense of country, the economy of our country; issues that have traditionally been considered women's issues like health and education and the environment are now being defined in terms of our national strength. So I think women have made a big difference in putting things in perspective.
