We have so much room for improvement. Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory... of how we are taking responsibility.

If I cry, it's about the personal loss of a friend or something like that. But when it comes to politics - no, I don't cry.

The good news is that we really do think that ... on the immigration issue, that we will, before summer, have comprehensive immigration reform.

The Democrats have been there for working people in our country. That's who we are, trickle-down vs. middle-class economics. That's the major difference between the parties.

By making college more affordable for all and more accessible for minority students, the first new higher education authorizing legislation in a decade will help strengthen our nation and America's middle class, and spur a new age of innovation and ingenuity in our country.

I believe that we won't get the fullest contribution from women, they won't be able to reach their fullest aspirations, until we take a completely different look at how we make healthcare more affordable, higher quality, with better access to many more women.

I do think that our democracy is so great, we can withstand even a candidacy of Donald Trump. And when we emerge from this, it has to be respecting the position of those who supported him, addressing the anger and anxiety that they have, and, again, bringing the country together, which was always the purpose of our founders, a more perfect union.
