On the subject of money and politics and the rest, I have a DARE: Disclose who are these people; Amend the Constitution to overturn Citizens United; Reform: let's have public financing of campaigns; and Empower.

Do not ever say to anybody it's time for us to have a woman in the leadership, because that's the least important selling point.

Did I ever tell my constituents that if they liked their plan they could keep it? I would have if I'd ever met anybody who liked his or her plan. But that was not my experience.

We have so much room for improvement. Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory... of how we are taking responsibility.

My daughter Alexandra once told me, "Mother, you're a pioneer. Now, hardly anybody cooks, but you were one of the first to stop." After 20 years of cooking, I started to appreciate the value of other people's work. So I would, say, go get a duck in Chinatown. I always had the salad and set the table, but I didn't have to clean the pots.

Hillary Clinton truly is sincere, but she has to connect more with the American people in terms of what she believes in and how she intends to accomplish progress in their lives.

I'm confident in the American people.
