We would have to give out something for the poor in India. It is my responsibility to give the people an account of every rupee. I will use it at right places. I won't let it get stolen.

People to people contact is essential for Nations to come closer.

We have tried to remind Government servants that they are servants of the public and have restored discipline in Central Government offices. I have done a small thing, one that appears small from outside. I regularly interact with officers over tea; it is part of my working style. Philosophically, I feel that the country will progress only if we work as teams. This is the only way we can successfully develop the country.

There is no need to increase the taxes. India can run without troubling the citizens.

It is a golden chapter in the history of India's maritime security. May INS Vikramaditya, imbibe the radiance of the sun and confidence of victory in each one of us.

Can someone tell me, whatever we are doing, have we asked ourselves if our work has helped the poor or come to benefit the nation in any way? We should come out of the 'Why should I care' attitude and dedicate ourselves to the nation's progress.
