The fact that [Hillary Clinton] is pushing for paid family leave and also for [affordable] childcare will make a huge difference for working women who aren't as lucky as I am to be able to hire a nanny when I work. And who aren't lucky enough to necessarily have their husbands be able to take off work. That will make a huge, huge difference.

My dad's a doctor, and when I was 8, I went to one of his medical conferences where they were demonstrating laser surgery on a chicken. I was so mad that a chicken had to die, I never ate meat again.

I think Hillary Clinton has made great strides in doing so, even though there are people who want to bring us back to the '50s and still define a woman by her husband and her husband's legacy. But she has proven herself to be a force on her own and is an example to us of how women should and can be judged on their own merits.

If we can find ways to love life and be joyful without being wasteful or destructive--that's what's important.
