I think it's important for me as an actor that I say these are the issues I'm going to be committed to. One of them for me is women and children's health around the world and their rights;the other is ovarian cancer.

Salary stories are intrusive. Do you ask your neighbour what they earn for their job?

My path was to be an actor and it’s been very good to me in life. It’s broadened my horizons and given me a lot of gifts.

My personality does well with people who are deemed difficult. I don't know why it does but I just seem to get along with them. The more difficult the better.

With every character, you alter, you can’t be attached to your own identity.

You can ask me pretty much anything. There'll be things I'll go, 'That feels a little too personal.' But most things I don't have a fear of being asked about.

I think love is the core emotion. Without that, and I've certainly existed without that, it's a very empty life.
