Actually... I'm starting a new thing and rebelling against ridiculously high heels. It's inhumane.

You need to know everything and feel 100 percent safe so that you can live and breathe in a role and so that you feel comfortable taking risks and trying new things and being bold. If you don't feel comfortable, if you're in a scenario that's not conducive for that kind of environment, then that's when you don't do well.

I love to try and cook. I'm pretty good, but I'm not saying I'm great. So that's exactly why I wanted to learn from the best. There's a certain type of bonding that happens when you cook with people you love.

The 'Degrassi' producers were very supportive. They sent me flowers when I got 'The Vampire Diaries,' and then as soon as it premiered and got the great numbers that it did, I got another large bouquet of flowers from them. Every time I go back to Toronto, I see them and hang out with them.

I literally pass out when I see blood.

I haven't personally in my real life had many people close to me die, but my characters have, and I've had to live that as though it's real. And it can take a really big emotional toll on someone.

I went on a date once with a police officer, unbeknownst to me. I thought he was a regular guy. And when I found out that he was a police officer... I wasn't so into it. I got paranoid that I would illegally cross the street and get a ticket for jay walking.
