We must keep ourselves in touch, not with theories, but with people. We must never get out of touch with them if we are going to use the Word of God skillfully amongst them and if the Holy Spirit is to apply the Word of God through us.

I am called to live in such a perfect relationship with God that my life produces a yearning for God in the lives of others, not admiration for myself. Thoughts about myself hinder my usefulness to God. God’s purpose is not to perfect me to make me a trophy in His showcase; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He wants.

Make converts to your own thoughts and opinions.

No healthy Christian ever chooses suffering; he chooses God's will, as Jesus did, whether it means suffering or not.

Beware of making a fetish of consistency to your convictions instead of being devoted to God.

Get into the habit of dealing with God about everything.

Satan does not tempt us just to make us do wrong things- he tempts us to make us lose what God has put into us through regeneration, namely, the possibility of being of value to God.
