If we were never depressed we would not be alive - only material things don't suffer depression. If human beings were not capable of depression, we would have no capacity for happiness and exaltation. Whenever you examine yourself, take into your capacity for depression.

Trust completely in God, and when He brings you to a new opportunity of adventure, offering it to you, see that you take it.

We have an idea that God is leading us to a particular end, a desired goal; He is not...What we call the process God calls the end. His purpose is that I depend on Him and His power NOW. It is the process, not the end that is glorifying to God.

It is better to run the risk of being considered indecisive, better to be uncertain and not promise, than to promise and not fulfill.

Trust yourself in God's hands. Maintain your relationship to Jesus Christ by the patience of faith. 'Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.'

Get into the habit of dealing with God about everything.

Jesus Christ reveals, not an embarrassed God, not a confused God, not a God who stands apart from the problems, but One who stands in the thick of the whole thing with man.
