If we obey God it is going to cost other people more than it costs us, and that is where the sting comes in. If we are in love with our Lord, obedience does not cost us anything, it is a delight, but it costs those who do not love Him a good deal.

Tolerating a wrong attitude toward another person causes you to follow the spirit of the devil, no matter how saintly you are.

When the darkness of dismay comes, endure until it is over, because out of it will come that following of Jesus which is an unspeakable joy.

As Christians we are not out for our own cause at all, we are out for the cause of God, which can never be our cause. We do not know what God is after, but we have to maintain our relationship with Him whatever happens.

With Christ, it is not how much we give, but what we do not give that is the real test.

God makes us as broken bread and poured-out wine to please Him. Beware of competing calls once the call of God grips you.

Be rightly related to God, find your joy there, and out of you will flow rivers of living water.
