If we have never had the experience of taking our commonplace religious shoes off our commonplace religious feet, and getting rid of all the undue familiarity with which we approach God, it is questionable whether we have ever stood in his presence.

The way to grow strong in Christ is to become weak in yourself.

As Christians we are not out for our own cause at all, we are out for the cause of God, which can never be our cause. We do not know what God is after, but we have to maintain our relationship with Him whatever happens.

Narrow all your interests until the attitude of mind and heart and body is concentration on Jesus Christ.

Your priorities must be God first, God second, and God third, until your life is continually face to face with God.
